General Description:
Targets and recruits companies, groups and organizations to participate in the TeamMS program.
Specific Duties:
- Attend committee meetings as required.
- Understand and be able to communicate to others about MS.
- Work with Event Coordinator to increase number of teams at your site.
- Brainstorm with your committee to generate a list of TeamMS prospects - local businesses that should be approached for TeamMS. (Ideally businesses with a large number of employees.)
- Contact selected businesses and offer to make a TeamMS presentation or send a TeamMS Info Kit to their Human Resources Department or Community Relations person.
- Follow-up with contact at each business to encourage TeamMS participation.
- Update Event Coordinator on a regular basis.
- Report any problems or concerns to the MS Special Events Coordinator, Nanaimo.
Time Commitment:
3-4 meetings before the event (1-2 hours each) and one post-event wrap-up/evaluation meeting. Meeting times, dates, and location are at the discretion of the committee.
